GOP's 9/11 Exploitation

A new Business Week article says, "The GOP's opening night stressed the memory of 9/11 while avoiding its exploitation".

Oh Good Grief!

The whole concept of the Republicans going back into the past to draw up memories of September 11 during the convention is an obvious attempt to exploit the disaster for political gain.

They (GOP) say it's about Bush's leadership after the attacks. Leadership? He "lead" us into war with IRAQ. A country proven to have no ties to the Al Qaeda network.

I want to know what war on terror has been taken care of?

  • We still haven't captured the man responsible for the September 11 attacks - a Mr. Osama bin Laden.
  • Most of our armed forces are in IRAQ, NOT in Afghanistan where Osama seems to be.
  • We are fighting the war on terror in IRAQ which has proven to have no links to the Al Qaeda organization.
How did Mr. Bush respond to September 11 attacks? We went to war in IRAQ.

Oh Good Grief.

American Idiot

Don't want to be an American idiot.
Don't want a nation that's under the new media.
And can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mindfuck America.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
Well that's enough to argue.

Well maybe I'm the faggot America.
I'm not a part of a redneck agenda.
Now everybody do the propaganda.
And sing along in the age of paranoia.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
Well that's enough to argue.

Don't want to be an American idiot.
One nation controlled by the media.
Information age of hysteria.
It's going out to idiot America.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
Well that's enough to argue.

==============================

Now listen to it.

'nuff said.

The Penis Enlargement Experts

LOL! :-)

Oh Good Grief! Or more like, "Oh my God!" :-O

http://penismedical.com/testimonals.html

I did an innocent search on Google - "writing testimonials" and this was one of the results about two pages in. (My innocent search turned into a guilty click)

Is this site serious? I mean, does anyone believe this? And what Man would want to carry that thing around for anyway.

I love some of the quotes,
"Last week I met this hot chick at a local bar, and after some flirting I got bold and put her hand right on my cock. She practically dragged me out of the bar and back to her house."
I gotta get it now!

Mr. Doc Don Carlson says, "I have read and reviewed the ingredients of the Virility Pills VP-RX formula and feel that this is a safe and effective maleenhancement formula."

He "feels" it's safe. He really doesn't know...but he feels it.

Oh boy...how crazy a people we are.

P.S. They could've picked a more suitable model to display the results. LOL. :-)

NFL Says Not To Celebrate

I just got finished watching the Panthers & Giants game on FOX and Collensworth, one of the announcers, says after one of the last touchdowns that it was okay for the player who got the touchdown to celebrate, but the other players couldn't celebrate with him.

Oh Good Grief!

What is football coming to (or our American society) when we cannot celebrate a small victory?

I understand the reason why, Joe Horn of the Saints last year pulled a cell phone out of his shoe - or something - and pretended to talk on the phone. Terrell Owens pulled out a Sharpe marker and scribbled his name on a football.

These kinds of celebratory acts are ridiculous because they're bringing objects onto the field that have nothing to do with the game of football. Of course the players should be fined. But to remove 'the act' of celebrating is way out of hand.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous to completely remove any kind of celebratory act after a touchdown. It's a touchdown for Christ's sake - a win, a triumph. Oh, but we have to remove our excitement because someone might get offended.

Aren't we all getting too damn sensitive these days?

Bounced Check from Accountant

Now that's an "Oh Good Grief"

The title tells no lies.

I received a bounced check from my accountant.

I can see how a person might get into such a predicament...but an accountant, my accountant! Aren't they supposed to be good with numbers, money and stuff?

Ah Ha...

Ah Ha!

Here is the reason for the increase in sales tax. (Oh now I remember...voting NO on the Measure).

"Alameda County shoppers will now pay MORE taxes for their purchases than residents of any other county in the state, thanks to a voter-approved sales tax increase that took effect last week.

Voters in Alameda County approved the half-percent increase from 8.25 to 8.75 percent, when Measure A, which required a two-thirds majority, passed with 71 percent of the vote in March. "

Full story is here: Increased Alameda County Sales Tax Highest in State

Ah...one more tack on. I'm sure this money will be going to good use.

Oh Good Grief Online

Hello.

Oh Good Grief was started on an idea I had which comes from Charlie Brown (remember CB?) Charlie Brown would say, "Oh Good Grief" when things didn't go right, he was frustrated or upset.

That is exactly how I'm feeling nowadays and I needed a way to express my feelings about the "Oh Good Grief" situations in my life.

Basically it's about me living in this world and my take on it - how I see it. My opinions and feelings on living in this world, globally, nationally and locally.

A place to vent, to let it out and tell the world how I feel.

An example would be, for instance...

(1) California just raised the sales tax without my knowledge. What the f***? How was I not aware of this. I watch the news, listen to the radio, am an Internet junkie and I never found out. The government just slipped it in. Very interesting.

I'm just happy I got this blog started. I feel our opinions as individuals will ignite something in this country that hasn't happened before. A country for the people, run by the people.

Enjoy!
